Arsenal chief Edu has suggested that the Gunners are “working as a team” after securing the transfer of Oleksandr Zinchenko.
The Ukrainian utility man became the club’s fifth signing of the summer on Friday as he sealed a £30m move from reigning Premier League champions Manchester City. He follows former teammate Gabriel Jesus in swapping the Etihad Stadium for the Emirates. In the meantime, Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos and Matt Turner have rounded off what has been an extremely busy summer in north London.
Talking about Zinchenko’s arrival, sporting director Edu has claimed that the synergy at the club under Mikel Arteta has only benefited the club, whilst also having revealed that a plan was in place to move for the former Man City man considerably before he put pen to paper on his deal.
