Edinburgh woman injured as emergency chopper attends ongoing incident on Arthur's Seat

An Edinburgh woman has been injured during an ongoing incident at Arthur's Seat in Holyrood Park after emergency services were alerted to the scene on June 25 at around 1:45pm.

An emergency chopper was spotted flying low over the city's biggest hill while mercy crews attended the scene to help the casualty whose injuries are not yet known.

Reportedly, friends of the person were seen waiting nervously nearby as the emergency services stepped into assist at the ongoing incident.

Paramedics were then seen preparing the individual and securing them into a stretcher at the scene on the side of the capital hill while the helicopter circled nearby.

Witnesses also reported a helicopter flying low in Craigmillar close to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary shortly after at around 3:30pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received a report of a woman having been injured on Arthur’s Seat, Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, around 1.45pm on Saturday, 25 June 2022.

“The incident is ongoing.”
