Workers at the Corstorphine Pram Centre have issued an appeal for help repairing a Sooty charity ornament.
The bear has sat outside of the popular shop for the best part of four decades and Leyna Grzybowski, who works at the store, says she is devastated it has been vandalised.
Leyna says they are looking for someone to volunteer to repair him so that he can continue to collect donations for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).

“It’s just so sad that someone would do that to him, he is so old and everyone in the area knows him,” Leyna said.
“It is not just the local kids who love to cuddle him but also adults too. I think the incident happened at some point on Sunday as we only noticed it when we opened the store on Monday.
“He has been outside for about 40 years and the charity is RNIB for the blind - poor wee Sooty.
“We are hoping that someone who has fibreglass and paint can donate their time to fix Sooty up.”
Anyone wishing to help repair the Sooty charity collection have been asked to get in touch with the shop.
