Edinburgh set for two week heatwave as temperatures continue to hit double figures

Edinburgh is set to experience a two-week heatwave this July. As temperatures will continue to hit double figures over the next fourteen days.

Residents in the capital have been treated to some warmer than usual weather and the odd sunny afternoon recently.

Although still cloudy over the next two weeks, temperatures are set to stay at highs of 20C well into next week, with some sunny intervals in between.

On the BBC Weather 14-day forecast, the city is set for another couple weeks of the warm spells that we have had recently.

Tuesday will see highs of 18C with light clouds and a moderate breeze, with similar conditions continuing into Wednesday.

Thursday will see the temperature rising even higher, hitting a max temperature of 21C and continuing across the weekend.

Next week will start slightly cooler at 19C with a light wind and afternoon showers forecast, with sunny intervals expected towards the middle of the week. The sunshine should continue right into next weekend along with the warm temperatures.
