Edinburgh schoolgirl, 16 treated at scene after crash involving car and cyclist

An Edinburgh schoolgirl has been treated at the scene of a crash involving car and cyclist on a busy west end road. The incident took place on Friday June 24 on Manor Place at 12:15pm.

Emergency services rushed to the scene after reports of a traffic collision in the Haymarket. Pictures from the crash involving a vehicle and cyclist show a red vehicle parked next to a police car.

Officers can be seen taking statements from several individuals, one person is nearby the police car on a bike and it is understood a 16-year-old girl who was involved in the road crash was treated for minor injuries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash involving a car and a cyclist on Manor Place, Edinburgh, around 12.15pm on Friday, 24 May.

“Emergency services attended and the 16-year-old female cyclist was treated at the scene.”
