Edinburgh Ryanair passenger escorted off flight by police after screaming at strangers

A passenger was escorted off an Edinburgh Ryanair flight by police after he became aggressive and disruptive on board.

Heading out from Edinburgh to Malta on Saturday evening (May 28), the cabin crew were forced to call for police assistance after the man's behaviour got out of control.

A video, taken by one of the passengers onboard the plane, shows the man shouting and screaming at complete strangers, while standing shirtless in the aisle.

During the clip the man could be seen pointing at individuals shouting "you want it, who wants it, I've got five, five of you, who wants it then."

A member of cabin crew could also be seen approaching the man from the back of the plane, and appeared to be asking him to calm down and refrain from the threatening behaviour.

Confirming the incident to Edinburgh Live, Ryanair stated that the man had been removed with police assistance after the flight landed in Malta.

There were no reported injuries and all other passengers then left the plane safely.

A spokesperson from Ryanair said: "The crew of this flight from Edinburgh to Malta (28 May) called ahead for police assistance on arrival after a passenger became disruptive inflight.

"The aircraft landed normally, and police removed this passenger before the remainder of the passengers safely disembarked the aircraft.”
