Edinburgh Royal Yacht Britannia tourist left 'very upset' after being 'shoved' out of room

A tourist who suffered a 'very upsetting' experience after being 'shoved' out of a room at a top Edinburgh tourist attraction has publicly shared their experience.

Leaving feedback about their recent visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia, they claimed they had been pushed out of a bedroom by a family.

The customer also took aim at Royal Britannia staff who weren't on hand to respond to the incident, resulting in a 2 out of 5 star rating on the travel review website.

In response, a member of the team responsible for the yacht tours said they were 'sorry' to hear another set of visitors had spoilt their trip.

The review, titled 'disappointing', said: "I would have enjoyed it more if a family hadn’t rudely shoved me out of the way whilst I was looking at one of the bedrooms in the Royal Families living quarter.

"There was no member of staff nearby to deal with what happened to me and the experience left me very upset." The Royal Yacht Britannia team responded to say staff would have happily assisted if they'd known about it at the time.

They commented: "Thank you for visiting The Royal Yacht Britannia. We are sorry to learn that the actions of other visitors spoilt your visit.

"Whilst you obviously did not see them, we do have Visitor Assistants positioned throughout the tour route and they would happily have come to your assistance had this been brought to their attention.

"If you apply for your Annual Pass this would allow you to visit again for free any time over the next 12 months."

The Royal Yacht Britannia, docked at Ocean Terminal, is considered one of Edinburgh's most popular attractions and is rated on Trip Advisor as they second best 'thing do to' in the capital.
