Bosses at an Edinburgh restaurant have been left angered after their chef's mobile phone was reportedly stolen by a brazen 'customer'.
Locanda De Gusti took to Instagram to appeal to the public and surrounding businesses in the Dalry area after the man, who appeared to be middle-aged, wearing a cap and a black sweatshirt, allegedly pinched the chef's mobile phone before they opened.
After realising the phone was missing, staff looked at their CCTV which revealed the man they believe was responsible for the theft.

The Italian restaurant, on Dalry Road, shared the image of the alleged culprit to Edinburgh Live, and Police Scotland have since confirmed that enquiries into the theft are ongoing.
One staff member told how they are worried about the information and images that the man may obtain from the device.
Posting on Instagram, the restaurant said: "Dalry neighbourhood attention! The person on the picture just stole Rosario’s phone! If you see him around please call immediately at the restaurant or send us a message here!
"We informed police but grandkids pictures and all the rest of the personal photos are what we are worrying! Any information will help."
A video also captured the man walking into the restaurant, around 12pm on Thursday, June 30, while it was closed to the public.
It appears to show him heading over to the counter where the phone was placed and nabbing it quickly.
The restaurant has built up a following in the city for serving up traditional Naples-inspired dishes, winning industry awards in the process. Their blue decorated shop-front stands out on the busy Dalry Road, on the corner of West Park Place.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received a report of the theft of a mobile phone from an address in Dalry Road, Edinburgh around midday on Thursday 30 June, 2022. Enquiries are ongoing.”
