Edinburgh police have descended onto a residential street in the west of the capital, with locals spotting police tape and a white tent being erected in the area.
Officers have confirmed that there is an ongoing incident at this time but were unable to divulge any further details relating to their presence in Calder Gardens.
A concerned resident managed to capture pictures of a number of police vehicles as well as officers in the Wester Hailes street at around 6:55pm on Sunday October 23.

Emergency services staff could be seen in white suits working out of a van at the side of the road.
One local said that police were going door to door interviewing residents and trying to establish what had occurred during the incident.
The streets around Calder Gardens appeared to be covered in police tape.
The resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: "To be honest it’s scary. The whole area has so much crime and we have a small child living here and it’s not an environment that we want our son to grow up in.
"The police really need to do more here."
