Edinburgh police race to rush hour crash on busy street as car mounts pavement

Officers raced to a collision on Friday morning during rush hour.

Police Scotland attended the scene on Stateford Road opposite Harrison Road after a car crashed into a metal broadband cabinet on the pavement at around 8.15am.

In images shared with Edinburgh Live , a red car can be seen up on the pavement with the front bumper crumpled and the airbags activated.

As police attended the scene, they restricted the road and traffic was starting to pile up as a queue was forming.

It is currently unknown if there were any casualties. Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
