Edinburgh police probe terrifying death threat Harry Potter author JK Rowling received

Police officers in Edinburgh have launched an investigation after JK Rowling was threatened online by a man who said he wanted to kill her with a hammer due to her outspoken opinion on gender reforms.

The incident took place online on January 19 when the author and a Twitter user with different views were arguing online before it escalated.
