Two Edinburgh pensioners have been rushed to hospital after being hit by a Subaru being driven by an 80-year-old.
The incident took place on the busy Mayfield Road at West Mains Road on Saturday afternoon, June 24. Officers are now appealing to anyone in the area who may have witnessed the collision.
Around 1.30pm an 88-year-old man and an 86-year-old woman was struck by the black Subaru while crossing the road and were subsequently rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

Police say they remain in hospital but their condition is described as stable. Meanwhile, the 80-year-old female driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
Sergeant Scott Kirkpatrick, Roads Policing Unit, Livingston, said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information, including dash-cam footage. If you have not yet come forward to police, then please call officers via 101 quoting reference number 2103 of Saturday, 24 June 2023."
