Edinburgh pensioner found dead as police launch appeal to trace his next of kin

Police in Edinburgh have launched an appeal to trace the next of kin of an 81-year-old male who was found dead at the start of June.

Officers attended a property on Canon Street, Canonmills, on Thursday, June 2, after Alex Fulton sadly passed away.

Police Scotland says there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

The force is now trying to identify Alex's next of kin as so far, nobody has come forward following extensive enquiries.

Constable Neil MacKenzie said: "Sadly, Mr Fulton has passed away and we have carried out extensive enquiries to identify next of kin and relatives but to no avail.

"I would ask if anyone has any information that could assist us in tracing any potential next of kin should call 101 quoting incident number 0961 of 2 June, 2022."
