Edinburgh graffiti mocking rewrites of Roald Dahl's classic books appears overnight

Graffiti appearing to object to the rewrites of classic Roald Rahl novels has appeared overnight.

Some of the authors books have been recreated to make them more 'palatable' to a modern audience, with words like 'fat' axed from the classics. Street artist the Rebel Bear has now claimed responsibility for the stencil, at Sighthill Roundabout underpass, Edinburgh.

The stencilled Banksy-style artwork showed the Hungry Crocodile with its jaw tied shut, Willy Wonka in handcuffs with his mouth gagged, and Matilda with a bag on her head. Words like 'fat' will be axed from the classics.
