Edinburgh emergency services race to Corstorphine Road crash involving car and van

Emergency services have raced to the scene of a crash involving a car and van on a busy road in the west of the city. Emergency services attended the incident on Corstorphine Road just before 3pm on Monday afternoon.

Police remain at the scene and are managing traffic on the main road where the crash took place. It is unknown if anyone was injured in the crash.

Images from the two vehicle collision show both fire engines and a major incident unit on the road outside the Holiday Inn on Corstorphine Road where the white van involved appears to have crashed into a wall.

The Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment and the Scottish Fire Service are working on a statement.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crash involving a car and a van on Corstorphine Road in Edinburgh around 2.40pm on Monday, 4 July.

“Emergency services are currently at the scene.”
