Edinburgh police officers are hunting for the driver of a stolen car after the driver crashed into vehicles on a quiet street and fled.
The incident, in the early hours of Saturday, occurred on Lauriston Farm Road in the Silverknowes area of the capital at around 2.30am on October 22.
There, officers discovered several damaged vehicles, including a grey Ford Focus hatchback and a black Nissan NV200 van, reports our sister title the Daily Record.

However, a driver could not be traced following the incident and police later discovered that one of the vehicles involved in the crash was stolen. They have since launched a hunt to trace the individual responsible for the damage, for which a value has not been ascertained.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.30am on Saturday, 22 October, 2022, officers were called to a report of a car having crashed into parked vehicles on Lauriston Farm Road, Edinburgh.
"Emergency services attended and the driver of the car was not within the vehicle.
"It has been established that the car involved was previously reported stolen and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
