Edinburgh Dance Academy (EDA) students will be representing Scotland at the Dance World Cup 2023 this year - and their families are now fundraising to afford the trip.
This summer, 70 talented young people - aged between eight and 23 - are hoping to travel to Braga, Portugal, where the competition is being held, to make their country proud.
Anticipating phenomenal costs for the trip for a party of such size, parents got together and started a fundraiser - aiming to raise £14,000 - to cover the costs.

Setting up a crowdfunding page on the gofundme website, organiser Michelle Darling, from Dalkeith, said: "As you can imagine, it is a huge expense to get a squad of this size all the way to Portugal.
"Team tracksuits, entrance fees, costume costs, flights and accommodation - together add up to an eye-watering amount, so any donations we can gather are most gratefully received.
"No amount is too small - it all adds up, and every single penny goes directly to the dancers."
Talking to Edinburgh Live, EDA's Suzie Galloway said: "There's so much cost going into the Dance World Cup, and we want our dancers to have the best possible experience. So the more the EDA parents can collect on behalf of their kids, the better.
While hoping for as many medals as possible in the upcoming Dance World Cup 2023, Suzie said that the most important thing is that their pupils have a fantastic time - and the fundraiser can ensure that.
This comes days after the EDA students and instructors scooped awards in the prestigious British Isles dance competition over the weekend.
Named as the Highest Ranked Dance Studio in the UK and Ireland, the EDA saw their pupil Jenni Inglis receive the Most Inspirational Choreography award for the second year running, and dancer Kiera Anderson handed the top prize for the Most Dedication, Passion and Talent category.
