Heavy congestion has been reported on the A720 Westbound at Lothianburn after what appears to be a double decker bus had broken down.
The Traffic Scotland Twitter page shared images of the road where a beige coloured double decker bus appears to have come to a standstill.
Individuals can also be seen wearing high vis jackets as they respond to the incident and help to direct motorists.

Traffic Scotland confirmed that the Trunk Road Incident Support Service (TRISS) and road policing officers from Police Scotland were helping to deal with the issue.
On Twitter, they posted: “#A720 Lothianburn.

“The Westbound carriageway lane 1 (of 2) is currently restricted due to a broken down bus.
"Police and TRISS ere en-route.
“#TakeCare on approach.”
They later updated with: “#A720 Lothianburn.
“The Westbound carriageway remains restricted due to a broken down bus.
“Police are in attendance.
“Heavy traffic in the area due to peak hour - the breakdown is also slowing traffic and delays are expected.”
So anyone travelling along the A720 Westbound during rush hour this evening should expect some disruption and delays until the bus can be cleared from the road.
