A busy Edinburgh road has been closed and will be 'for some time' due to severe flooding throughout the capital.
Ferry Road, at Crewe Toll, is currently closed as images from the scene show a single car almost completely submerged under water and earlier footage showing various vehicles struggling to wade through the water.
The council have now closed the road and said: "Ferry Road is CLOSED at the red bridge between West Granton Access and Crewe Toll due to flooding. West Granton Access is open but there's a lot of flooding so take extreme care."

Images show cars stopped at either end of a huge pool of water with one far floating in the middle. Similar scenes have been witnessed across Edinburgh on Friday due to heavy rain through the night.
Another picture from the area shows a black taxi stuck in the middle of another flooded area with half the vehicle submerged under water.
A yellow weather warning for the capital and further afield is in place until 6pm on Friday evening as delays to both public transport and rail services are also expected.
Lothian Buses have also been forced to divert away from Ferry Road with services such as the 19, 21, 27 and 37 among those affected. A service alert on their website reads: "Due to a road closure buses are unable to serve Ferry Road and West Granton Access and are instead diverted via Telford Road and Groathill Road North in both directions until further notice."
Warning locals of potential flooding throughout the day, SEPA said properties could be impacted as well as agricultural land, roads and travel. They added that peak water levels are likely to occur between 8pm on Thursday until 8pm on Friday, November 18.
