Eddie Howe has no complaints over Liverpool's goal despite Fabian Schar's big reaction

Eddie Howe says he had no complaints about Naby Keity's winner for Liverpool after his players contested that Fabian Schar had been fouled by James Milner. Schar rolled over half a dozen times but replays showed Milner had won the ball fairly and squarely.

Having played the advantage Andre Marriner watched on as Jordan Henderson picked out Keity and he rounded Martin Dubravka. VAR man Mike Dean did not see a foul and the goal stood. H

owe said: "I haven't seen it back, but my initial reaction was 'We'll be lucky if VAR saves us here'. It looked an untidy coming-together, but I couldn't see if there was a foul on Fabian.

"Obviously he stayed down and then we missed him in the heart of our defence as they counter-attacked again us, and it's a disappointing way to lose the game because for the majority of the game, yes they had chances, but they didn't really open us up too many times."

Howe reflected further on the goal and said: "Martin made some good saves from distance, but I was pretty pleased with how we defended generally, but that one cost us."
