Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe says that Fabian Schar should be fit to face Wolverhampton Wanderers at St James' Park this weekend.
The Swiss centre-back missed the 2-0 defeat at Man City with a head wound but has trained this week. Schar's return would leave Howe with a tough decision with skipper Jamaal Lascelles performing well away to the Citizens.
Howe, speaking at his press conference ahead of the Wolves clash the head coach spoke of Schar's chances of starting, he said: "We hope Fabian Schär will be in the squad. He's trained well this week so I'm pleased to see him back.

"We have a couple of knocks from the Man City game but we hope it's nothing too serious."
Howe was also asked about Bruno's fitness after the midfielder revealed he was playing through the pain barrier with ankle issues last weekend.
He said: "I think he is fine and don't think he has missed any training. He was sore initially against Man United. He is back training no problem. The initial one kept him out of training. But touch wood I don't see any problems for him."
Howe also confirmed the club would be jetting off to Dubai for a warm weather training camp later this month.
