  • Ed Sheeran declared his concert at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field to be the best show of his life, despite experiencing what he described as one of the worst weeks of his life due to widespread industry backlash.
  • The controversy arose after rapper Macklemore was dropped as a support act over pro-Palestinian remarks, prompting other supporting artists, including Irish band Beoga and musician Finneas, to withdraw from the tour in protest.
  • Addressing the 50,000 fans in attendance, Sheeran shared his emotional distress over feeling abandoned by close friends and family, while stating that he refused to cancel the performance for his loyal supporters.

  • Macklemore claimed Kraft Group chief executive Robert Kraft influenced his removal from the line-up, leading the rapper to pledge 1 million dollars in tour earnings to Palestinian relief organisations.
