Ed Sheeran in Cardiff: Drinks prices in the Principality Stadium

With the first of Ed Sheeran's three-night Mathmatics tour concerts in Cardiff done and dusted, fans are getting ready to sing their hearts out at the remaining dates.

And with thousands of Sheerios (the affectionate name of the Shape of You singer's fans) entering the Principality stadium, which holds 70,000 (see here for ), one of the first things most people are likely to head for, before taking their seat or stand - after they've spent a bob or two on some incredible Ed Sheeran merch (have a look at what's on offer here) is the bar. And with many drinks on offer, no-one is going to be parched.

Be prepared fork out a few more pennies for a bev inside the principality stadium at Ed Sheeran (Ffion Lewis)

What's on offer and how much will it cost?

With a whole host of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages ranging from £2.00 to £7.50, be prepared to dig a little deeper into your pockets and spend a smidge more than you normally would down your local pub. If you're a fan of vino, a glass of sparkling white or rose wine (200ml) is the priciest of the drinks at £7.50 while a glass of regular, bubble-free wine is a bit lighter on the purse strings at £6.

Guinness fans will also need to splash the cash at £6.50 a pint as will Amstel-drinkers, though they do have the option for a half, which is only £3.25 a pop. Save 50p and go for a WRU Gold beer if that's more to your taste. If Heineken is more your scene, however, you're in luck as it comes in at the cheapest of the alcoholic options at £3.50 - only 20p more than 500ml of Pepsi.

If you're on the hard stuff - good old fashioned water - you can get a packet of crisps and a bottle of Welsh water for £4.00 all together (£2.00 each).

Fans came out in the thousands to see Ed Sheeran at The Principality Stadium, Cardiff (Media Wales)

Cardiff was a sight to behold last night as the singer-songwriter filled the city centre with fans coming from all over - read about the women who travelled 16 hours and came all the way from Mexico to see him here - and the remaining two gigs in the Capital (tonight, Friday, May, 27 and Saturday, May, 27) are sure to be just as buzzing.

If you're coming to the city to see Ed Sheeran, you can read everything you need to know about attending the concerts from where to park to the set list here. As there will be road closures across the city centre, please plan your travel accordingly.

If you're travelling by train, Great Western Railway are putting on an extra 40 plus trains - that's almost 20,000 more train seats - to help fans travel to and from the concert. The global megastar will also be performing come rain or shine as the Principality roof will be staying open, so prepare for all weather eventualities and bring a raincoat.

There is an extensive and detailed list of items you cannot take into the stadium- read that here.

If you weren't lucky enough to bag a ticket before, you're in luck as there are still tickets available for the Cardiff concerts - though, please be mindful of sites like Viagogo as tickets from these will not be accepted for entry. Ed has urged fans to only book tickets through official websites which include: Eventim, Ticketmaster, See Tickets, Myticket, AXS, Principality Stadium, and Eventtravel.
