People buying Easter eggs from supermarkets are missing out on claiming free cash, a leading charity shopping platform has warned.
easyfundraising wants shoppers to know if they buy all the goodies they need for Easter through its website, they can get some retailers to give to good causes on their behalf. And it won’t add any extra cost to their grocery bill.
Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Morrisons all offer the service, and these shops are offering chocolate eggs from as little as £1.

With millions of us expected to buy them over the next fortnight, easyfundraising is keen to stress to people how they can help their favourite charities without increasing the price of their shop at all.
James Moir, the company’s CEO, said: “Lots of us will be looking forward to indulging in some Easter eggs over the next few weeks with offers and promotions from many supermarkets attempting to invite us to make some purchases.
“What we need to let people know is that when they buy their shopping from one of the major supermarkets online, they can use easyfundraising to get a bit of extra cash; not for them, but for their favourite charity. Don’t leave it to the last minute to get all your groceries.
“When you purchase through our website, the supermarket will make a donation to the good cause of your choice and it won’t add anything extra to your shopping bill. So, you can shop in the confidence that your favourite charity will benefit from whatever goods you purchase.”
And if you don’t exchange chocolate eggs, you may wish to give a gift to a loved one or friend to mark the event itself. If you do so through the easyfundraising website, charities will benefit in the same way.
Major supermarkets offer a fixed donation per transaction which is usually higher if you are a new customer. Click here for more information.
