Phil Mitchell could turn to murder - as he made a horrifying threat in EastEnders tonight.
The BBC One soap has been airing a dramatic storyline with the soap legend, as DCI Keeble continues with her vendetta against Phil and warns him he'll head back to prison if he doesn't rat out his cousin Billy Mitchell. Billy was involved in a robbery back in the 1970s, where a security guard - now revealed to be Keeble's father - was killed in a showdown.
DCI Keeble was convinced Billy was responsible for her father's death, but during tonight's show, Phil confessed to her that it was his dad Eric who killed the security guard, and not his cousin. Still, adamant to put someone behind bars, Keeble warned Phil he needed to tell the police Billy was the one who sourced the gun or there would be consequences.
Refusing to rat out a fellow Mitchell, Phil insisted he wouldn't - and Keeble soon set to work on plan B, adamant he'd get Phil to confess somehow. She organised for the police to try and arrest Phil's soon to be wife Kat Slater on drug charges.
However, Phil saved the day - and was able to stop the arrest, whilst Kat questioned him on what exactly had been going on.
It was then to him to confess what had happened, how Eric, him and Billy - alongside his brother Grant - were all involved in the crime as they nicked VHS players from the warehouse. Billy had fallen off the ladder, Eric telling them to leave him as the security guard was coming. However, they didn't - and they were all caught.
Phil was asked to shoot the guard but refused, with Eric sending them out and finishing the job, murdering Keeble's father.
In the present day, a worried Kat sat down with Phil and begged him to tell her why they had tried to arrest her.
"You promised me, you promised you'd take care of me and protect me. Do you even care, do you even want to get married?" Kat fumed, as Phil explained Keeble had "tied him in knots" and wanted him to give Billy up.
As he admitted there wasn't much choice but to give Billy up, he refused to accept his cousin would be heading to jail, and issued a chilling threat to Keeble, promising she would meet her own demise if she got him put away.
He warned: "I said I'd do it. I gave her a statement, but I'll retract it in court at the last minute. I've got time; I'll find something out about Keeble ... If he does get sent down, then she's dead. She's a dead woman."
