EastEnders gave a subtle nod to the FIFA World Cup and their match against Iran.

The soap, which has always kept up with current events, put a smile on footie fans' faces after Mick Carter referenced the game.

Danny Dyer's character lamented the "kick up the nuts" that England got four years ago as well as acknowledging the Lionesses mighty win at this year's Euros.
