EastEnders fans were left distracted by Shirley Carter's outfit as she mourned Tina at her funeral tonight.
The BBC One soap aired poignant scenes as Albert Square bid farewell to Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White). She had gone missing several months ago, but viewers knew she had been murdered by evil serial killer Gray Atkins.
Gray had devastatingly hidden Tina's body under the Arjee Barjee, a discovery which only recently came to light and she was laid to rest today in front of her loving family and friends including Shirley (Linda Henry).
But as the Square bid farewell to Tina, viewers couldn't help but notice Shirley's interesting outfit choice.
"Loving #EastEnders didn’t realise Shirley had turned private detective @bbceastenders," one wrote, as another penned on Twitter : "I figured out whom Shirley reminded me of! #EastEnders #SpyVsSpy."
A third concluded: "Shirley looks like Inspector Gadget #Eastenders," as a fourth wrote online: "Why is Shirley dressed like Carmen Sandiego for a funeral #EastEnders." A fifth wrote: "Why does Shirley think she’s one of the krays lmao #Eastenders."
"Shirley out here dressed like the undertaker #EastEnders," another shared, with a second viewer adding as they referenced the scene: "Shirley dressed as Inspector Gadget at Tina’s funeral is certainly a look! #EastEnders."
"Shirley doing an Inspector Gadget cosplay! #EastEnders," one said as they compared her to the cartoon character, with another writing: "I still don’t understand why Shirley is dressed like a 1940’s New York gangster #EastEnders."
Shirley has been struggling as of late, after finding out what happened to her beloved sister.
In recent scenes, Zack gave an update on Gray's talks with the police.
"Yesterday, he finally talked. Tina was already dead when she went into the ground. He said she confronted him about Chantelle," Zack said, as he sat with Mick and Shirley and told them what he knew.
He added: "There was a fight, she tried to get away and he strangled her. He wrapped her in a shower curtain, put her in the boot. They're still looking for the car, but he says it was stolen."
Mick regretted being there and not knowing what had happened, "I was there, I was there that night. I saw him. He was out by his motor, he told me that she'd left. The old bill wanted to go in his gaffe, wanted to see if she was there, but he had to go somewhere."
