EastEnders star Heather Peace teased there could be a darker side to Eve Unwin, and it might be unleashed thanks to love interest Suki Panesar finding herself in trouble.
Eve and Suki's romance has hit many hurdles, and more recently Suki has fled to Mumbai while harbouring a killer secret yet to be exposed.
Suki's rushed exit has left Eve heartbroken, especially after her reaction to her son Kheerat finding out about their relationship.
But amid actress Heather telling The Mirror that her character will wait for Suki, with the love between them being "real", she's also spilled that Eve could soon "snap" like she has done in the past.
Eve is yet to find out about Ranveer's death, with Suki believing she killed him when it was in fact Ravi who carried out the crime.
Not only this, but Suki's abusive ex Nish is now in Walford, and is set to cause trouble for Suki and the Panesars.
Actress Heather exclusively teased to us that there could be a showdown in the future for Eve and Nish, while she also hinted Ravi and Nina should watch their backs.
Of her character's darker side, she spilled: "It's a hard one. I think the writers have made a really good, loyal, solid character, it's not down to me. She has an edge and I would like to explore that a bit more.
"There was the homophobic attack and Eve was straight in with the fists. I think Eve has a snap, and maybe at some point when the viewers like her enough they will deal with that.
"She has obviously snapped at some point, she's been in prison for something quite serious, and she's got issues."
Heather went on: "She's solid right? But maybe there's something in her not being so solid."
On Eve's understanding of Suki attacking Ranveer after he sexually assaulted her, she added: "She will absolutely understand it and where she comes from, who she is. She will absolutely understand it, she'd have probably done the same herself."
If the truth about Ravi being the killer and Nina's plan comes to light, Heather told us they should watch out as Eve might take action, while she remained coy over how she might get back at them.
Heather said: "Yeah, absolutely, she's so clever and sassy. She's working on a burger van but she is trained in law. It's an awesome character, I feel really gifted at the moment."
There were also hints at a Nish showdown for Eve, with her spilling to us: "Nish arrives, and from there on in let's say Eve is working out her chess pieces.
"This isn't the end. This isn't the end of the road for Suki and Eve, that's all I can say."
