The 57-year-old played Shirley Carter's best friend on the BBC soap from 2007 until 2012. The character was accidentally killed by Ben Mitchell.

In recent months, the former soap star has displayed a slimmed down figure and recently credited roller skating for her incredible transformation, the Daily Star reports.
