East Lothian food and drink festival returning after successful first year

A food and drinks festival is returning to East Lothian, after a succesful launch last year.

The Gullane Food and Drink Festival kicks off on April 10, with a full week of events in the area. From whisky tastings, to cooking demonstrations and meet the author sessions - there's something for everyone.

While there are various events throughout the week, the main market will be held on April 15. Kicking off at 10am, this year's market is being held on The Smiddy Green off the A198.

Stall holders include Belhaven Brewery, East Fortune Farm, CocoaMania, Dodger Jam, Edinburgh Cider Company, Fidra Gin and many more.

Throughout the week, you can head along to sample French cuisine, enjoy a cake decorating demonstration, meet the authors of various books and partake in a cheese and wine pairing evening - all at Gullane Recreational Hall.

Ahead of the events, organisers said: "Back for its second year in 2023, the Gullane Food and Drink Festival aims to bring together people and businesses in celebration of the area’s excellent food and drink offerings.

"The organising committee are currently working hard planning a week of fantastic events which will culminate once again with a weekend featuring the Artisan and Producers Market and Family Fun Day. Stay tuned for event booking here and in the meantime follow us on social media to keep up with who’s new and who’s returning for the 2023 festival."
