The Earl of Pembroke’s step-dad was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head just hours after his Scottish castle was listed for sale.
Stuart Wyndham Murray Threipland died instantly from the blast and was discovered close to his vehicle in the grounds of Wilton House, near Salisbury, Wiltshire on June 12.
The 76-year-old’s death came shortly after Dunbeath Castle and estate, in Caithness, was put up for sale with a £25m price tag, the Mirror reports.
