West Coast star Elliot Yeo has been offered a one-game suspension for striking in a state league match, but the ban won't impact his AFL comeback.
Yeo was cited for striking when playing for the Eagles in the WAFL last weekend as he builds fitness after an interrupted season.
Yeo can accept a one-game ban from the WAFL tribunal and can serve that suspension this weekend, when the Eagles have the bye in the AFL.
The 28-year-old has been charged with striking Swan Districts' Aidan Clarke in an act deemed as intentional, high contact and low impact.
Yeo has played just two AFL games this season, in rounds five and six when he was concussed against Port Adelaide.
The influential midfielder then missed games under the AFL's COVID-19 related protocols, continuing a troubled stretch for the 2018 premiership player.
Yeo played just 20 games in 2020-21 as he battled the groin injury osteitis pubis.
