Eagles’ Chief Security Officer Banned From Sideline for Rest of Season, per Report

The Eagles will conclude the regular season without a familiar face on the sidelines following Saturday’s announcement concerning chief security officer Dom DiSandro.

The NFL announced its decision to ban DiSandro, a member of the organization for 25 years, from the Philadelphia sideline following his Week 13 scuffle with the 49ers, per the Associated Press.

The news adds to the ongoing saga that began with DiSandro’s run-in with Niners linebacker Dre Greenlaw during Philadelphia’s loss to San Francisco.

Both men were ejected from the game and later penalized by the league. Greenlaw received a $10,927 fine for the flag that caused the chaos, while DiSandro was barred from the Eagles’s Week 14 game against the Cowboys.

With a crucial primetime matchup looming, the longtime team staffer will now have to anxiously watch from the tunnel as the Eagles (10–3) look to rally from two critical losses and keep their bid for the NFC’s No. 1 seed alive.

Fortunately for Philadelphia, there is a bit of a silver lining for Week 15, with the NFL permitting DiSandro to travel with the team for its Monday Night Football matchup against the Seahawks and perform his usual work duties.
