EA’s November Feedback update for EA FC 26 outlines some key upcoming changes: goalkeeper movement nerfs, AI adjustments, controlled sprint fixes, and some promised future tweaks to Squad Battle vs AI. We already talked about these changes yesterday, and as expected, the fan reactions on Reddit are just as harsh as usual.
It looks like PC players have the loudest reaction, which isn’t surprising since FC 26 continues to have terrible problems on the platform. At least people are happy with the upcoming nerf to goalkeeper movement. We’ve talked numerous times before about how people feel about goalkeeper movement, but here’s a comment from the Reddit thread that sums it up well:
“Kill GK movement. It only allows bad players to correct for their horrendous defending. One step to the far post, while I power my shot, should not take away the attacking advantage. Putting the ball passed the GK 1v1 should not be such a gamble on some occasions with little reaction time.”
Things EA Still Needs To Address, According To Players
The planned change to nerf goalkeeper movement is the biggest talking point, and while there are still divided opinions on this, the general consensus is that the nerf is needed. On the technical side, the Quickstep+ PlayStyle remains a major complaint. Players say explosive accelerators like Vini Jr. and Mbappé frequently fail to trigger their acceleration styles, making these otherwise elite attackers feel slow.
Responsiveness was a key theme in EA’s post, but there wasn’t any real mention of servers and stability. Dozens of comments pointed out that patches and tuning updates don’t matter much when player control and responsiveness vary from match to match. PC players are struggling with these issues the most. The game either has delays, sluggish player movement, or controller desync on PC, and the most upvoted sentiment was simple:
“Just upgrade the servers, honestly, just take 20% of what you make from Bateson on Black Friday and spend it on upgrading the one thing that’s needed to make this game run well.”
Some also feel that EA is patching the game too early in the cycle, which doesn’t let the gameplay settle before the next tuning update arrives. EA’s December update will bring noticeable gameplay changes. But unless the game feels stable, responsive, and reliable, the community conversation will continue to be highly critical. At the very least, let’s hope we get something positive out of this upcoming GK nerf.
