The Star Wars Jedi Survivor release date was pretty much an open secret after it accidentally showed up on Steam ahead of The Game Awards 2022, but EA made it official now. The next stage of Cal Kestis’ journey will launch on March 17, 2023, for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
EA made the announcement alongside a brand-new trailer for the action-adventure game, the first since its cryptic announcement in the first half of 2022. In it, we see Cal taking on a number of new foes in fantastic Jedi style.
It seems the official information EA posted on Steam before removing it was accurate as well. Cal is a full-blown Jedi now, with all the pressures and imperial bounties that status entails and access to new Force powers and saber skills as well. He’ll need all the help he can get as he faces off against new enemies in the space game while traveling across the galaxy to locations both familiar and brand new.
Like Fallen Order before it, Jedi Survivor adopts an exploration style similar to Metroid and Castlevania, rewarding players for backtracking and using new abilities to overcome old obstacles.
Jedi Survivor pre-orders are open now, with a pre-purchase bonus that includes a Hermit outfit and lightsaber. There’s also a deluxe edition that features Rebel Hero and Scoundrel-themed outfits, themed after Han Solo and Luke Skywalker, respectively, with a skin for Cal’s robo-buddy and lightsaber as well.
