E-rickshaw driver found dead in Kanpur

KANPUR: An e-rickshaw driver, living at his brother-in-law’s house in Raugaon village of the area, died under suspicious circumstances.

Police on being informed rushed to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. Shiv Singh Yadav, a resident of Raugaon told investigators that his 35-year-old brother-in-law Dev Narayan Yadav son of Prithvipal, resident of Shivpuri Rajepur village of Fattepur Chaurasi area of Unnao, used to drive an e-rickshaw by staying at his house for two years.

On Saturday morning, after attending the routine work, he went inside his room. “After not coming out for long, family members went inside and saw that he was lying dead on the cot,” said the police.

Inspector Bilhaur Dhanesh Prasad said that no superficial injury marks were found on the body of the deceased. The deceased was an alcoholic. “Further action will be taken based on the post-mortem report,” said inspector further.
