DWP: Why you might not have received your Cost of Living payment and what to do

Around seven million households should have received their first instalment of the £650 Cost of Living payment.

Households claiming low-income benefits like Universal Credit are eligible for the payments. The first £326 payments began dropping into accounts on July 14 and most should have received theirs by July 31. A second payment, this time for £324, will follow in the autumn.

Eight million households are eligible for the payments. Of those, one million qualify through tax credits and will be paid later than those eligible through Universal Credit, Income Support, Jobseeker's Allowance, Employment allowance or Pension Credits.
