It is estimated that 551,000 families in the East Midlands will be eligible for means-tested Cost of Living Payment with a further 451,000 in the region eligible for the £150 disability Cost of Living payment in the Autumn. Details of who will get the support have been published by the UK Government.
When it comes to who will be getting the £650 figure, which is split into two payments, figures show that household in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire make up 133,300 of that headline figure. A further 109,000 individuals are eligible for the disability payment.

How much will I get?
The DWP is offering a £650 payment which will be made in two lump sum instalments. The first instalment of £326 will automatically go into eligible households. The figure means that the second payment will be a slightly different total - £324.
When will it land in bank accounts
The first instalment will automatically go into eligible household bank accounts between now and the end of the month (Sunday, July 31). The second payment will go out from the autumn. Payments from HMRC for those on tax credits only will follow shortly after each to avoid duplicate payments
Work and Pensions Secretary, Thérèse Coffey confirmed: "This first instalment of £326 should reach all eligible low-income households by the end of July." In its latest update on the scheme, the government confirmed that the second instalment will follow from the autumn, with separate payments for pensioners and disabled people also coming later this year.
Disability and pensioner payments
The disability and pensioner payments come in addition to the Cost of Living payment, as does any support from the Household Support Fund, which was recently extended through to March 2023 with £421 million additional funding.
