Soon millions of people across the UK will receive the first payment of the new year in a bid to help them with soaring bills.
People on means-tested benefits should expected the first payment by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) of £301 soon, with those getting benefits such as Universal Credit, Pension Credit, and tax credits receiving extra support from Spring. In addition, a further £150 will be made available for over six million people living with disabilities as well as £300 for over eight million pensioners on top of their Winter Fuel Payments.
The payments are the latest boost for households after support was previously announced in the autumn statement. Eight million people received £650 in Cost of Living payments throughout 2022, reports MEN.
