DWP benefits crackdown hurls Brits into 'destitution' as claimants lose £262 a month

Poor Brits are being thrown into “destitution” by the Tories’ benefits crackdown as the average sanction raids £262 a month.

More than 115,000 Universal Credit claimants were having their benefits cut as a punishment in August - up from 18,000 in August 2021.

Now statistics show the average sanction across Britain reduced each person’s benefit payment by £262.
