Nearly one in ten people in the UK will get the £150 Disability Payment from the DWP this autumn. In an effort to support people with the rising cost of living, the government are providing extra payments to certain people.
The disability payment comes in addition to the Cost of Living Payment currently being given out this month. In the East Midlands, 451,000 people will benefit from the Disability Payment.
Across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire 118,200 people will get the Cost of Living Disability Payment. To be eligible for the £150 people need to be on Attendance Allowance, Constant Attendance Allowance, Disability Living Allowance for adults, Disability Living Allowance for children, Personal Independence Payment or Adult Disability Payment (in Scotland).
