DVLA has issued a warnings to anyone who passed their driving test before 2014.
Motorists have now been warned that if they have had their drivers license for 10 years, they must renew it in time - or they face harsh penalties - totalling up to £1,000.
Licenses are only valid for a decade after being issued, and so anyone who continues to drive with an expired license is committing a serious offence, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency has warned.
