Drivers have been issued an urgent warning by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) about sharing images of a certain document online.
The DVLA has urged people not to upload pictures of their V5C logbook onto the internet as this could put them at risk of fraud.
The V5C logbook contains personal information and proof that a driver is the registered owner of their vehicle — details which could be used by fraudsters to commit identity theft.

As reported by LincolnshireLive, motorists have also been asked to report suspicious emails or websites as soon as they spot them.
Taking to Twitter, the DVLA wrote: "Stay safe online – don’t share photos of your V5C log book on social media or selling sites, as scammers can use them for identity theft."
Meanwhile, the UK Government has urged drivers to "report misleading websites, emails, phone numbers, phone calls or text messages you think may be suspicious".
It added: "Do not give out private information (such as bank details or passwords), reply to text messages, download attachments or click on any links in emails if you’re not sure they’re genuine."

Earlier in the year, the DVLA told motorists to be vigilant of fake messages and emails attempting to get them to share their personal information.
The DVLA tweeted: "Watch out for 'phishing' text or email messages, the DVLA will never ask you to reply, give personal or bank details or ask you to log into an account."
'Phishing' refers to the attempt to steal or obtain someone's personal details by impersonating an organisation.
