PUNE: Two men used a gas cutter to break open the cash dispensing unit of an unmanned ATM of a public sector bank in Yavat and stole Rs23.81 lakh between 2.30am and 3am on Monday.
A bank oficial said, “The third party firm managing the ATM i has filed the complaint with the local police.”
Inspector Narayan Pawar of the Yavat police said, “Two men reached ATM kiosk on the Pune-Solapur highway on a bike. They blackened the CCTV cameras inside and outside the kiosk with chemical spray,”
He said, “They then cut open the machine with the gas cutter and stole Rs23.81 lakh and fled the spot.”
