Here’s hoping Professor Taylor is a lenient instructor—at least for the sake of Duke quarterback Riley Leonard.
The Blue Devils pulled off a stunning 28-7 victory over No. 9-ranked Clemson on Monday night, fueled by the stellar play of their signal-caller.
After arguably the biggest football upset in school history, a night in which Leonard threw for 175 yards, rushed for 98 more and had an impressive 44-yard touchdown run, the quarterback’s thoughts turned to coursework.
Indeed, he’s really hoping to get an extension on his homework, which apparently was due at midnight on Tuesday morning.
Duke QB Riley Leonard had to ask "professor Taylor" for an extension on an assignment after upsetting No. 9 Clemson 😂

For Leonard’s sake, here’s to hoping Professor Taylor was willing to work with him and give him at least another day to complete the homework.
As for the game, the Blue Devils were stellar defensively, especially in key moments, forcing an interception and two fumble recoveries. On the ground, Jordan Waters rushed for 63 yards and one touchdown on 11 attempts, while Jaquez Moore added 43 yards and one score on eight carries.
