The final countdown is on to King Charles' Coronation with the royals no doubt making their final preparations for the big day.
And it appears Sophie, the new Duchess of Edinburgh, is among them after she was spotted leaving a London hair salon - having appeared to have had a shiny colour refresh.
The Duchess cut a casual figure in comfy trainers and stylish trousers as she made her way through upmarket Chelsea after a long appointment at the Richard Ward salon.
Ward is known to have tended to the tresses of the Princess of Wales and it is believed that Sophie spent around five hours having her colour and cut perfected earlier this week ahead of the Coronation next weekend.
After leaving the hairdressers, the 58-year-old who is married to the late Queen's youngest son Prince Edward, carried her handbag as well as another bag, seemingly full of hair products.
Her hair refresh earlier this week came before she spent a busy few days carrying out engagements at a wide range of venues, including a performing arts college and a Women's Institute afternoon tea.
And on these visits, Sophie's trademark blonde hair did appear light and fresher with no hint of any darker roots.
One of the engagements took her to Kent Refugee Action Network, where she drew a royal family tree on a whiteboard - and revealed the nickname for her husband and brother-in-law King Charles. Drawing the tree, she referred to Charles as 'KC' and simply wrote her husband's name as 'Ed'.
Sophie and Edward's appearance at the Coronation will come just under two months after the couple were handed new titles by the King - upholding a promise made to them by the late Queen.
The announcement from Buckingham Palace came on Edward's 59th birthday with his new title of Duke of Edinburgh, previously held by his father the late Prince Philip.
It had long been known that Edward would one day become the Duke of Edinburgh after a pledge made by the late Queen on his wedding day in June 1999.
At the time, eyebrows were raised when he was given an Earldom rather than a Dukedom. However, it was announced at the time of the nuptials that Edward would succeed his father as the Duke of Edinburgh with the blessing of his parents after his death.
Philip’s desire for Edward to have the title was in recognition of his son’s decades-long commitment to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, the youth scheme which is one of Philip’s greatest legacies.
Meanwhile, Sophie once told the Telegraph of the moment she and Edward were told Philip would like her husband to take on the title.
She said: "We sat there slightly stunned. He literally came straight in and said, ‘Right. I’d like it very much if you would consider that’."
