Duchess of Sussex trademarks her lifestyle products in Australia before next month’s visit with Harry

The Duchess of Sussex has secured a number of trademarks for her lifestyle brand ahead of her trip to Australia with Prince Harry.

Meghan Markle’s company As Ever has gained 12 trademarks ahead of the visit next month, according to records from IP Australia, an Australian government agency responsible for intellectual property.

The records, seen by Sky News, show that applications were filed in September 2024, before they were approved last year. A range of product categories were approved, including jewellery, stationery, furniture, tote bags, skincare, candles and food products, among others.

Recently, Meghan’s team downplayed suggestions that there were plans to launch As Ever in Australia to coincide with the couple’s trip Down Under for “private, business and philanthropic engagements”, the Mail reported.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes told ITV there was no “decision” to expand her product base to Australia and that reports were “speculation”

At present, As Ever products are only available online and in the US.

It comes after the partnership between As Ever and Netflix ended. A spokesperson said earlier this month that the duchess’s brand was “ready to stand on its own” as the deal expired.

A contract with the streaming service was signed by the Sussexes in 2020 and is thought to be worth around £74 million.

The deal also included Netflix having the first option on the couple’s projects with Archewell, their production company.

With Love, Meghan, a series documenting her life, was launched on the platform in March 2025. It was released in time with the launch of As Ever.

This month, As Ever released a £191 gift box containing flowers, tea and honey.

Made in collaboration with luxury flower purveyor High Camp Supply, the Garden Tea Bloom Box is a “thoughtful mix of long stems for classic bouquets and loose blossoms designed for floating arrangements, allowing for multiple placements throughout your home”.

It contains Sage Honey with Honeycomb, fresh flowers and Herbal Peppermint Tea.

On As Ever’s Instagram, a caption accompanying a photo of the product reads: “The Garden Tea Bloom Box has arrived.

“In collaboration with @highcampgardenias, a thoughtful curation of High Camp Gardenias, white peonies, mint and jasmine are paired with As Ever peppermint tea and sage honey.

“Designed for bouquets, floating arrangements, and a quiet cup of tea.”
