A Dublin Lotto player nabbed a life-changing sum of money after stopping off at a Tallaght petrol station.
The winner came home €250,000 richer after deciding to buy a scratchcard at Circle K in Kilnamanagh. The player decided to buy a Mega Money Multiplier scratch card to pass the time before driving home from work.
The delighted player has since collected their cheque from Lotto HQ. They explained that the decision to buy a scratch-card was made purely on impulse.
The person said: "I pulled into the petrol station on the way home from work as I didn't want to land home too early - I'd only be lumped with more jobs! I decided to mix things up a bit and go for a different scratch card to the one I might normally go for."

The lucky winner was left shocked after realising they'd just won a quarter of a million euro. Staff at Circle K in Kilnamanagh celebrated the colossal win through a series of photos taken outside the petrol station.
Another Dublin Lotto player also gained €50,000 through the National Lottery app. The player won big through the Cash Showdown game but only realised their luck had paid off later on.
