Dublin legend Stephen Cluxton was a surprise inclusion in Dublin's squad to face Louth on Sunday and has now made his first start since 2020.
Cluxton started for a ‘second’ team against Meath in Fingallians GAA club on Monday night, featuring a number of Dublin fringe players and a number of established ones too such as Brian Howard. It was the first time Cluxton had started a game for Dublin since the All-Ireland final in 2020.
Cluxton was up against a Meath development squad that featured players who've not had involvement with the senior side.

Despite never actually retiring many thought Cluxton's Dublin days were over, that was until he was named as Dublin reserve goalkeeper to David O'Hanlon for their Division 2 decider against Louth on Sunday. They won that match and will play Derry in the final, a match which will presumably once again feature Cluxton in the Dublin squad. He is back in due to back-up goalkeeper Evan Comerford's persistant injury issues.
Dublin take on Derry in Croke Park on Sunday 2nd April.
