Dublin City Council is recruiting for a clerical officer with a full-time offer including a pension.
The clerical officer position is a key support position within DCC and provides "comprehensive general administrative and clerical support to a section or department."
The position is varied and can involve working in different departments of the council.
The qualities that DCC is looking for in its ideal candidate include:
- an understanding of the City Council’s purpose and knowledge of public service organisation in Ireland.
- have previous relevant work experience, preferably in a customer-focused environment
- be able to work with colleagues and the public effectively to achieve a common goal, ensuring standards are adhered to and maintained
Experience requirements for the clerical officer position including having obtained at least Grade D (or a Pass), in higher or ordinary Level, in five subjects from the approved list of subjects.
Have at least two year’s previous service in the office of a clerical officer or similar roles.

The salary scale for the position is €25,102, €26,718, €27,118, €27,925, €29,104, €30,286, €31,468, €32,326, €33,299, €34,426, €35,226,€36,345, €37,469, €39,586 (Maximum)
A one-year probationary period is in effect for a period of one year but can be extended at the discretion of the chief executive.
